ABOUT OUR WARRANTY

As a purchaser of one of our new homes you are protected by the Quality Builders Warranty “QBW” Home Protection Policy or the HW-10 Policy within Virginia. As an QBW Home Protection Policy and HW-10 Policy Builder we are required to meet certain standards of performance which will insure the quality of your new home. The QBW Home Protection Policy and HW-10 Warranty program provide you with a limited warranty from the Builder as well as an insurance policy underwritten by a national company which backs the Chesapeake Homes warranty and provides extended insurance coverage on major structural defects should they occur.

First Year Coverage - Chesapeake Homes warrants against defects caused by faulty workmanship or materials due to non-compliance with QBW and HW-10 approved standards.

Second Year Coverage - Chesapeake Homes warranty continues for the second year to protect against certain defects in the heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing systems, exclusive of equipment, and fixtures.  

Third through 10 Year Coverage – QBW or HW-10 Warranty covers Major Structural issues “See Manuals for each respective policy”
