At Chesapeake Homes, our goal isn't just to provide you with
the home of your dreams; we want you to live the life of your dreams. Full of
connection, experiences, and people who make it all happen. At Bridgewater and
Coastal Club, Lifestyle Directors Megan Stevens and Ellen Comitale are the
heart of resident engagement, creating opportunities for neighbors to connect
and enjoy life to the fullest.
For Megan Stevens, being a Lifestyle Director is the
perfect mix of creativity, organization, and working with people.
“In simple terms, I help make community life fun and
meaningful,” Megan says. “I plan activities and events that keep residents
engaged, entertained, and connected. My goal is to help people make friends,
try new things, and truly feel part of the community.”
Ellen Comitale shares that same passion for bringing
people together.
“There’s something special about turning a neighborhood
into a true community,” Ellen explains. “I love creating events and experiences
that give homeowners a chance to meet their neighbors and feel a sense of
belonging.”
Neither Megan nor Ellen sees the same day twice. This is
what makes their role so exciting.
Megan may
spend one day planning upcoming events and coordinating calendars, and the next
setting up for a program, greeting residents, or running an activity.
Ellen balances time in the sales center planning events
and answering homeowner questions with days spent setting up events and helping
residents explore everything the Grand Strand has to offer.
“It’s a mix of planning, problem-solving, and connecting
with people,” Ellen says. “It keeps every week interesting.”
Megan and Ellen plan a wide variety of events designed to
appeal to every resident. Events range from Themed parties and social
gatherings to outings and educational events.
They both emphasize that the best ideas come from
listening.
“A lot of it comes directly from listening to
residents—what they request and what gets them excited,” Megan says.
“Every community has its own personality,” Ellen adds. “I
try to think about what would make me excited to live here. If it feels fun and
welcoming, we’re on the right track.”
Time keeps moving, so events keep flowing. Some events
are even booked a year out, while monthly calendars stay stacked with events
for everyone.
Lifestyle programs play a key role in helping residents
connect.
“Many friendships form simply by attending the same
events or sitting together at a program,” Megan says.
Ellen agrees, noting that these programs create
intentional time for neighbors to meet.
“Over time, simple interactions grow into meaningful
relationships. Residents start recognizing familiar faces and truly feel at
home—that’s when a neighborhood becomes a community.”
Both Lifestyle Directors also make an effort to
personally welcome new and introverted residents, offering smaller,
low-pressure activities to help everyone feel included.
For Megan and Ellen, the most rewarding part of their job
is seeing residents happy and connected.
“Hearing someone say they made a new friend or that an
event made their day better reminds me why this job is so special,” Megan says.
“Watching neighbors become friends—whether they bond over
baseball or discover they went to the same high school—is incredibly
rewarding,” Ellen adds. “I love bringing our community together.”
From vibrant social events to meaningful everyday
moments, Megan Stevens and Ellen Comitale help make Bridgewater and Coastal
Club places where residents don’t just live—they thrive. Their creativity,
dedication, and passion for connection are what turn homes into communities and
neighbors into friends.
