Chesapeake Homes Road Dedications at Kingston Estates

Road Dedications at Kingston Estates

If you are driving through or live in our Kingston Estates neighborhood in Virginia Beach, VA, you might notice something new. Chesapeake Homes recently dedicated two of the streets in Kingston Estates. The new streets, Jimmy Mobley Way and Bill Black Court, were dedicated in the name of two fallen Virginia Beach Police Department officers.

Both Officer Black and Detective Mobley perished in a helicopter accident in July 1979. The dedication ceremony held on the dedicated roads included a VBPD helicopter flyover and included attendance from Mayor Bobby Dyer, retired Virginia Beach Police Chief Jacocks, as well as family of the fallen heroes.

On top of the dedications, Chesapeake Homes also made a monetary donation of $2,500 to the Virginia Beach Police Foundation, which supports the city of Virginia Beach and its officers.
